*Please pardon the un-styled mess why I am rethinking and re-designing my blog!*
I had a reader email me and ask what they should show and not show in their portfolio. In this video I answer the question and take you through some of my current portfolio pieces and talk about what I would show, take out, and how many items I would present in a job interview.
Let me know if you have any other questions! I’ll be happy to answer via a screencast or video!

Congrats to Scarlett @ScarlettColey & Ralph @ralphsaunders! Hope you both enjoy Dribbble! Thanks to everyone who commented! Will let you know when I have more invites!
So I’ve been on Dan Cederholm’s sorta super top secret Dribbble site for a little while and now and have been enjoying it immensely! I know tweeting about sneak peaks on Twitter have probably been driving everyone nuts. But I have some good news! I have been granted the ability to draft a few players. So here the deal – post a comment with a link to your best piece of work and I have a looksie and draft those I see fit!
Let the games begin!

Designers should have critical thinking skills, understanding of design principals, knowledge of grid systems, typography and much more.

In the wake of the popularity of the Clients From Hell site I thought it would be appropriate to talk about good experiences with clients. I had a chance to have a chat with Liz Andrade from CmdShiftDesign and discuss the topic.
Have you had good (or bad) experiences with clients? What was it like? What did you do to foster the client/designer relationship? Leave a comment and join the discussion.

How do you get clients to give timely feedback on projects?
I’ve been running into some situations with clients (who are otherwise great) that haven’t been giving timely feedback. How do you deal with this? Do you remind them via email? Phone? Do you have anything in your contract regarding delays?
