The following is an open letter to Steve Jobs reguarding the glossy screens on the new Mac Book Pros. It was written by Benek Lisefski. But i think it sums up the way alot of designers feel.

Graphic Design can be a difficult profession. We are creative by nature, which sometimes means that we can’t turn it off. I’ve noticed this in my own life - especially since I graduated and ventured out into the “real world” (whatever that is?). How does one maintain that ‘creative flow’ that makes us great designers? How do we disconnect from work and nurture our creative side? I can’t speak for everyone, but here are a few things that have helped me.

I saw an interesting series of commercials this weekend advertising a website to help people quit smoking. I’m not a smoker, so I can’t really understand what its like to quit, but I think the commercial below portrays what its like in an interesting manner.
Interesting concept - why stop at designing the package - why not design the edible product as well? Its interesting how the boundries of design are begin blurred, from package design to product design.
