I would have to say my inspiration comes from nature. There are just so many complex things in which are awe inspiring and can be used in design.

Hands down Joshua Davis (praystation). He showed me that code and design can both go hand in hand and be minimal. Also he explorations instilled in me a since of awe that’s never gone away.

Great list! Most of those on here I already love and follow their work but I also try to find inspiration outside the world of design. Recently the world of street and urban art have been big in keeping me motivated at work. I love the sites Wooster Collective and Juxtapoz Magazine to keep me going.

I am actually very inspired by the words of Lao Tzu, and people like Galileo Galilei and a few others from ancient history. As far as the web goes Abduzeedo , Walter Apai of webdesignerdepot, coders like Jeffrey Way and too many others to list. It always shows when a large amount of energy and hard work is put into something original and that’s what i find here. Thank you for asking me to comment Niki you inspire us.

hard to choose ‘cos everyone in my DeviantArt watchlist inspires me. I’m always looking different artists on the internet as well.

Right now, I’m inspired by animators and illustrators Jenna Smith and Ryan Miller. They have great passion for their art and inspirations that come along with their creative storyboards, illustration and character designs.

Great article. I’m inspired in general to see such a wide range of inspiration among designers, I’m sometimes worried that web design can be too inward looking and therefore derivative. This boosts my confidence to see so many people looking to so many different mediums for their inspiration.

For me…Gil Elvgren, Iain M. Banks, Christopher Wren, Frank Lloyd Wright, among many others.
