Not a real fan of the glass here either, but it’s good
The feather is to give the selection a sort of feather effect, which looks like an awful blur

Hey Niki it’s really a nice tutorial but i think you would have done this using a simple shape rather than three layers for that effect. we can do it just by using gradient and stroke on a single shape. please don’t mind but i think this is too complicated for the new designers
and even if we are asked to resize the button in future, we won’t be able to do it using your way
