Awesome Tip Nikki – VERY useful indeed! :o )

  2. (Apologies for spelling your name wrong)

  3. I’m not going to lie…I actually just learned something!

  4. I did not know this, very cool. The old adage seems to be especially true with Photoshop.

  5. Great tip. I have always wondered how to do this. Before I would have to open my DigitalColor Meter, write down the hex code, go to Photoshop and put it in, etc. This is so useful.

  6. I never knew this. Great tip. Thanks!

  7. Nice! How would that work with Spaces, though? I always keep Photoshop in its own Space, and then i end up using DigitalColor Meter to get hex values for colors on the ‘net.

  8. this was a great tip…i feel so archaic now for doing this the hard way all this time! thanks!

  9. Thanks Niki, I wish I’d known that ages ago.

  10. Like everyone else, seems I’ve been doing it the hard way. Thanks for the tip. I’ll be subscribing.

  11. Great tip! So simple and so useful.

  12. This one is a favorite of mine. Glad to see it’s spreading around. What I really want is for Dreamweaver to have a feature where if I type color: in a css file, it would give me the option to eyedropper a color, and paste its hex value in automatically.

  13. That is kind of awesome. I actually never knew that. Thanks for that one. :)

  14. Hey nice tip!! thanks

  15. I knew there was a way to do this but could not for the life of me remember how. Thank you.

  21. This can also be achieved using the Colorpicker plugin for FireFox.

  22. This is a great tip Niki! Just used it today and will be using it a lot from now on…Thanks!

  23. Great tip. Before I was having to either save a selection of the image I wanted the color info on or use a FF extension to get the values. Now I just have to click it.

    Thanks a lot!

  24. I used to do this through a much more roundabout method. Your way is so much easier. Thanks!

  25. Awesome !
    thanks heaps.

  26. good and useful tip , It makes my work efficient. Thanks bro. Because I used to do it i anther way and took a lot of time but now it is only one click far away.

  32. Dear Niki:
Well, I’ve always thought there must be a way to use the dropper tool outside of Photoshop and now I know it !

Thanks a lot of those very useful little tips.

    Keep them going.
