This tip covers how to convert an anchor point while drawing a line – without having to select the pen tool again! Woo! Thanks to @paddydonnelly and @cmdshiftdesign for the idea for this quicktip.

Instead of hitting alt, I just click on the second anchor point again and then place the third anchor, then I can curve the second line from there.
No need to change tools or hit a key.

Amanda: if you do that, the anchor you click twice will end up with only one control handle. Thus limiting control later on. The alt method is much better, I’ve used it as long as I can remember.
