My boss sent me a picture of Coca-Cola’s new holiday packaging. I kinda dig the christmas ornament-like shape of the bottle. I’m also a sucker for all things mini and cute! Click read more to see more pics!

Y’know, I don’t like Coke and I’m not real big on Christmas—but I’ll end up buying at least a few of these on the merit of design alone. Clever stuff.

Pretty cool. No more wasteful than their typical plastic bottles. It’s a fun experience, and perhaps a popular example of design for the masses. True, there’ve been other examples of Coke bottles in the hands of designers (Beijing olympics comes to mind), but they’re much more exclusive and rare.
I’d buy a few of these to have around for the holidays, and might even enjoy one myself. But I don’t think I’d be as excited over turkey gravy packaged this way. My association with Coke brand suggests “good times’ and refreshment. Gravy? Not so much…

Coke does a great job keeping the brand intact whenever they create an extension or promo. Beats the pants off the new Pepsi packaging even if this is only seasonal.
