One of the great things about the design community is the feedback and critique you can get – You just have to know where.
Live Journal – Graphic Design Community
http://community.livejournal.com/graphicdesign/
This site is a great community of graphic designers from all sorts of backgrounds. Some students, some professionals, freelancers. Great place for feedback, and a great resource if you have design related questions. Also a great archive of commonly asked questions like how much to charge, or how to set up files for printing.
Freelance Switch Forums
http://forums.freelanceswitch.com/
Freelance Switch Forums have been helpful to me with design crits as well. Lots of web and print based freelancers that are online during the day to offer advice on anything design or freelance related. Also a great way to connect with other freelancers.
Fluther
Fluthers purpose it to “tap the collective” knowledge base. You can ask any kind of question here – but I recently posted a question asking for critique on a design and got some decent responses within the same day. It’s worth a try!
Any suggestions for other places to get your designs critiqued?

I always went to the HOW Design Forum, but the critique section can be pretty harsh. Some folks aren’t so constructive. But there are some great designers there with worthwhile feedback.
